No matter what your major is, every college student will eventually and consistently deal with the same problem: stress. Whether it’s the paper due tomorrow that you haven’t started yet, the mountain of homework that simply won’t go away no matter how long you work on it, or the long list of extra-curricular responsibilities you have, something will be a source of stress in your life.
Sometimes taking a Netflix break, a nap, or a five-minute breather is all you need. Other times, students need something more than just a breather. Outdoor activities are a great way to relax, and Berry has 27,000 acres to explore.
Berry’s campus is the largest in the world. If being outside helps you unwind, take a hike to the reservoir or the House of Dreams to clear your mind. Berry has so much to offer, and if school is stressing you out, take some time to explore and relax. Stressed students can also take advantage of Berry’s on campus Rock Room and go climbing as a way to unwind. Not everyone finds running, rock climbing, or hiking relaxing though. Luckily, there are plenty of other ways to relax that don’t involve slipping on your running shoes or hiking boots.
A coffee break at Swift and Finch in Downtown Rome, a road trip to Chattanooga for a night on the town, or even a night right here on campus attending one of KCAB’s events can be a fun way to take your mind off of school for a bit. A night in your room spent reading, coloring, and even meditating are just as useful when it comes to relaxing. Berry has a variety of ways for any stressed out student to take a break in whatever way is most helpful for them.
