The Berry community came together to learn about the hearing abilities of these Border Collies and watch them in action herd. This was a really unique experience and people from the audience had the opportunity to volunteer and watch the Border Collies herd the sheep throughout the volunteers. 🚨Unveiling a new show🚨 MEET Annabelle! Her presentation addressed several pressing issues in recent times specifically the topic of systematic racism. She spent a good amount of time talking through decolonization and how this impacted the people of the Caribbean. She opened the audiences eyes to real life problems Caribbean civilians face rather than just seeing this place as a dream travel destination. On March 16, The 11th Gloria Shatto Lecture and Dinner commenced featuring Harvard Professor, Best-Selling Author, and Social Scientist, Arthur Brooks. Brooks came and spoke about issues related to leadership, happiness, and social entrepreneurship. He is a well known columnist for The Atlantic where he writes the “How to Build a Life” column. He spoke about his book titled, “Love Your Enemies” and about his mission as an entrepreneur. He makes it a point to emphasize the fact that he “sells happiness” for a living. He travels to different audiences all around the world to teach people about human happiness and work to raise well-being within private companies, public agencies, and community organizations.
