Rome, Ga .- The reputation of the unreliable Wi-Fi at Berry College began to change when Dana Hall received additional Wi-Fi access points and started a process of upgrades across the school.

The Dana Hall dormitory at Berry College began to receive new Wi-Fi upgrades in January of 2016, beginning with West Dana. The process included adding three times as many wireless access points throughout the building. It took a few weeks to complete, as the instillation performance required feedback in order to move forward with the project. Senior Network Architect at Berry, Daniel Boyd, was pleased with the process.

“West Dana had been completed a few weeks before as a test,” Boyd said.  “When we got positive feedback from that side of Dana we decided to proceed with the change for all three wings.”

The additions were located in various students’ rooms in hopes of strengthening the Wi-Fi signal throughout the building in order to improve internet speed, reliability and functioning. Boyd believes they achieved that goal.
