I have a crush on this guy, but I have convinced myself that he probably thinks I am the most annoying thing ever and he’s probably just too cute for me anyways. When we are together he seems to flirt with me a lot, but he doesn’t seem interested in me in that way.

 Dear Crushed and Confused,

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut thinking you aren’t good enough for someone, but I can promise that you are. When you like someone, it’s extremely important never to think of yourself as less than.

You say he flirts with you a lot, which is a pretty good indicator that he doesn’t find you annoying. He might not be sure how to take the next step with you, so he keeps flirting rather than attempting to further your relationship. You can subtly hint that you are interested in him, or take a more direct approach and tell him how you are feeling. Ultimately it will be a lot easier for you if you don’t have to wonder how he feels about you anymore. 

If he ends up liking you back, that is wonderful! If not, remember that his feelings toward you do not reflect on your worth. There will be someone who will see how amazing you are and who will make you feel as though you are the most interesting and beautiful/handsome person in the world.
