Berry swim and dive added to their record-breaking season, taking four Vikings to the NCAA Division III Swim and Dive National Championship on March 24 at the Indiana University Natatorium. The tournament of 579 participants was co-hosted by Franklin College and Indiana Sports Corporation.

Senior Haley Brown, frehsmen Maggie Hogsed and Brooke Boyd, and sophomore Sarah Pierce landed in the top 20 for the 800-yard freestyle relay. The group was the first in women’s swim history to compete in the national tournament.

Additionally, Haley Brown earned All-American Honorable Mention recognition after her 100-yard freestyle preliminary swim. She is the first Viking to reach consolation finals, where she placed 13th overall.

Boyd also qualified in the 1,650-yard freestyle, along with many other swims from the Vikings, adding to the ground-breaking season for Berry swim and dive.
