Graffiti artists in Madrid now have a place to create and display their works besides on the street. La Tabacalera is that place. The building that was once a vast grey space is now enveloped in a wide spectrum of color. It provides a place for artists (graffiti in particular) to make bigger and better art that would not be as possible to do on the streets. It provides a gallery in which artist can use a variety of materials and a seemingly endless number of walls to express their emotional, social and political views.
